2008 United States ARDF Championships

Location

The championships will take place on the HOC orienteering map of Bastrop State Park in Bastrop County, Texas. The park is embargoed for any competitor until the competition. The town of Bastrop, Texas is 25 miles east-southeast of Austin Bergstrom International Airport, and 30 miles east-southeast of downtown Austin, TX.

Bastrop State Parks is part of a region known as the "lost pines", an isolated loblolly pine and hardwood forest over 100 miles (160 km) from the piney woods of east Texas. Elevations in the park range from 324' (99 m) to 600' (183 m) above sea level. The park is home to the Houston Toad, an endangered species.
